Art and nature for an unforgettable holiday

Besides the traditional and rich programme of events, happenings and meetings, scheduled to make your holiday unforgettable, this year in Grado you will find some interesting new things.

There is, indeed, a new and extraordinary tourist opportunity in Grado, which will make you live the charm of the lagoon of the Golden Island from a magic and striking view and within a unique experience on European scale. In fact, a new project is starting this year, based on the eco-compatible restoration and renovation of the Casoni (local fishermen’s huts) and aimed at disclosing unexpected, amazing atmospheres and sides of the lagoon, thus making the tourist experience it directly and totally, going from history to nature, and from life traditions to typical cuisine.

Another interesting initiative consists of the weekly courses of the Mosaic Summer School of Grado, a no-profit organization collecting qualified mosaic masters from the Mosaic School of Friuli in Spilimbergo, to teach the art of mosaic, both at a base and advanced level. Some of the works made by the participants will exhibit, from the 15^th to 31^st of May, at Hotel Savoy, always involved in initiatives enhancing the value of mosaic art, which is particularly appreciated in Grado because of the significant historical heritage of mosaic floorings, both on the island and in Aquileia.
